Huge congratulations to Robin and his amazing team of staff!

Parents’ and carers’ comments are extremely positive and reflect the life-changing impact that the school has on children and their families.

Elmbridge Values Cluster Banner Trail September 2019-July 2020
An outdoor art gallery in your local high street to engage and inspire residents and visitors alike is an original and exciting idea.
This ambitious venture is exactly what has been undertaken by nine schools in Weybridge and Walton-on-Thames in Surrey during 2019.
Together these schools form the Elmbridge Values Cluster sharing 5800 pupils ranging in ages from 4-19 years old between them.
What makes this Cluster special is that they all adhere to teaching a Values Based Education following 22 universal positive Values, also known as the Inner Curriculum, alongside teaching the statutory curriculum.

By David Gumbrell
There are 39 weeks in the academic year and there are 39 chapters in the book.
This means that every week there is a ‘top up’ of information, a prompt to reflect, a provocation of a self-compassionate thought.
Neil Hawkes, founder of VbE, endorsed the book, calling it:
“Full of inspirational, engaging ideas linked to real life, which will help you if you are a new teacher, or if you are more established, to adopt 39 brilliant strategies to support your inner resilience.”

Understanding British Values in Primary Schools:
Policy and practice (Transforming Primary QTS Series)
By Joy Carroll, Colin Howard & Bridget Knight
Schools must actively promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
The Teachers' Standards make it clear that teachers themselves must do nothing to undermine these fundamental British Values.
So how do schools and teachers provide educational experiences for primary aged children that explore and promote these values?
This text provides trainees, teachers and schools with practice-based advice, informed by current practitioners, relating to the delivery of ‘British Values. The content covers many topical themes and provides a unique insight into delivering ‘British Values’ in schools. It supports educational professionals to understand their duties around the PREVENT agenda and goes further to explore why this is important.
It helps trainees and teachers to see how these 'values' fit within the wider context of education and what we value as educators.
Congratulations to our CEO Bridget and her author colleagues!
